Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. The music she grew up with was traditional Boleros from the past and traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started more intense training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. Following her move into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She has been involved with a number of local projects, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her love for art and music. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thanks Inland Master Chorale members for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
